Entering college in a big city and mingling with the new environment overwhelmed her. The shadow of her former "glory days" continuously haunts her. Io thinks that it is important that she fulfills the dreams and goals of her past and younger selves. She likes jackets, especially products from the popular brand Niek. She has an older half-sibling called Monaco. Their father does not live with either of them. She does not know what her father is up to but she knows that he is an author and he's always out to find himself - Io does not care but still tries to be polite towards him. She refuses to use his father's surname. |
MILO ALMONDSMale
Whenever upset, Milo plants seeds to calm himself, but if that doesn't work, he smashes empty cans using a bat. He often use word choices that gets him misunderstood (which results into a fight with the local thugs) even though he means well. He taught himself to play the guitar as a pasttime. His biological parents are Keith Almonds and Maria Soledad. He didn't get to meet his Mom when she died of childbirth. His father died due to lung cancer when he was only seven and was left to Uncle Fran in the Green Kit. Uncle Fran is getting older and due to this, he developed a fear of the death of loved ones and friends. He recently discovered that he has feelings for his asexual friend, Io. He refrains from confessing because he wants to treasure the friendship, at least for now. |

When his brother died of lung cancer, he inherited his brother's shop, Green Kit, and took care of his brother's child, Milo. At first, he couldn't figure out Milo since he's not fond of children but eventually, they opened up to each other. When Franklin was a teenager, he used to live in a very conservative and orthodox community with his twin brother. He was disowned by his family after being accused of "coercing" a male classmate of his into a relationship. This so-called "coerced" partner never defended Uncle Fran; as a result, Uncle Fran found it hard to enter and trust into romantic relationships again. To avoid the discriminating eyes of the town, he and his brother ran away and settled to a small suburban town called The Little Pickle Town and since then, lived a slow-paced life. Now entering his 50's and experiencing signs of aging, cataracts (thanks to his smoking habits back in the old days), his priority is giving Milo a comfortable life, see him make friends, and see him talk to people comfortably before the inevitable happens one day. He hopes to stay healthy until the day his "future grandchild" is born. |
LEO PETERSONMale
Since little, Leo has shown to have a knack for theatrics. He's a smart kid born from a bright and loving family. His father worked for the military and his mother worked as a preschool teacher. When he was twelve, they received his father's dog tag and a letter stating MIA (missing-in-action). Leo's mother eventually fell ill and they had to move into a house near a hospital. When their bills and dues piled up, Leo dropped from school and worked part-time while his siblings attended a public school. When their mother passed away, Leo and his siblings moved to the suburbs where living costs are affordable. Leo also took multiple jobs. He prioritizes his siblings' welfare above all things. Aside from working 2-day jobs, he now also works for a bar called MADAME'S owned by Nikolai during the night and closing hours. Leo and his siblings rent a room (203) above the said establishment. His day jobs include newspaper and postal services. He easily gets along with other co-workers due to people being attracted to his mature feel despite Leo's enjoyment on teasing his co-workers. He prefers working in the bar when it's closing hours (early morning) rather than during peak hours (night) because the early morning customers are the retirees from the Jarville Retirement Homes nearby, while the night-time customers are a tad bit more rude and reckless than the morning folks. He recently met Olivia and Alexei, who asked him out for Pickleton Day during their first meeting. He found them attractive but he decided to focus on his siblings for now. |

Just like her older brother Leo, Emma is a very smart kid who excel in school. She doesn't want to make her brother worry so she keeps her cheerful, teasing personality. She dreams of becoming a teacher just like their mother. She never really met her father. She likes the snapping turtles on the riverside of the Pickle Town as it reminds her of Leo when angry. She likes their new home and is now attending the school in the suburbs. She has befriended Io when Io fell down on the animatic Peachy. Every Friday afterschool, she and his twin brother - Evans, go to Campbell's Gingerbread House to buy half-priced bread and then at the Pickle Mamart to buy supplies to make their special homemade soup, hopefully to surprise their older brother, Leo. |

Evans likes to prank people especially his brother. He also excel in school and although playful, he wants to study hard to become an architect. He dream of making a big warm house which their mother's as the "happy gold house." Just like Emma, he never met his father. He likes playing the piano and learning new songs at during their music class. He sometimes borrow the piano at MADAME'S every morning before going to school. He likes chasing the ducks crossing the bridge every 3PM after school. He now attends in the local school in the Pickle Town. On "Peachy" animatic, it appears that he had feelings of admiration towards Io (partly because he thinks she's strong after falling down). Nikolai is the owner of the liquor bar, MADAME'S, as well as the apartment rooms above it. Nikolai is the son of a wealthy businessman. After his father's death, he was left with his father's girlfriend, Julia. She became his mother figure and role model despite being aware that she takes men home for money. On his 18th birthday, he found out that Julia left in secret - leaving behind only a note and his father's fortune. He then sold his deceased father's assets to buy an establishment in the suburbs of Pickle Town. While he inherited his biological mother's ash blonde hair, he dyed it pink, the same color as Julia's. It may be an act of self-sabotage or Julia's lingering influence - Nikolai does not know either. He has no idea of her current whereabouts. He met a drunken Monaco on weeknight near his building's backdoor. He also accepted the Peterson siblings to rent a room and hired the eldest brother, Leo Peterson, as a waiter. The MADAME'S is located on the farther side of the town. It opens in the evening and closes before dawn. His nighttime customers are the folks most people wouldn't want to associate with while his early morning visitors are the retirees from the Jarville Retirement Homes. |

A half-Korean college student who, despite being talented and smart, has no real friends. She created Yellow, an imaginary persona, both as a substitute companion and as an outlet for her true feelings. While Monaco craves companionship, she only lets herself open up to Yellow. With a disguise on (short-haired wig and binder), she would sneak out at night. She met Nikolai on a drunken night after a bad day at university. Nikolai then offered her solace which started her budding attachment to him. She likes pretty-looking things. She has a younger half-sister named Io. Just like Io, she does not know of her father's whereabouts nor does she care about him. She refuses to use his father's surname and thinks he is irresponsible. She briefly met the Peterson siblings who are applying for a room and a job the morning after her first meeting with Nikolai. |

At first, her parents frowned on chasing a dream with no diploma but they eventually accepted her decision. They supported her when she went out for the city life. She met Alexei when she auditioned for MADAME's as a jazz singer. Olivia was hired on the spot because the manager, Nikolai, was sleepy and there were only two people who responded to the ad. Olivia believed that she has work harder than anyone because one- she's behind her peers and informally learned music, and two- she knows that there are many people who couldn't live out their dreams and she's just one of the few lucky people who has the opportunity to go after hers. |

Alexei sidelines as the MADAME'S jazz pianist. He is also Olivia's bestfriend; for some reason, both Olivia and him always fall for the same person - the latest being, Leo Peterson. (*Note: Alexei is already doing gigs at MADAMES's before the new hire, Leo, came.) Alexei and his mother lives at Jarville Retirement Homes where his mother works as a caretaker. When he's not working, he helps his mother on taking care of the elderly by playing the piano and singing songs for them (Sinatra, Crosby, Cole, Fitzgerald, and Engelbert's are the most popularly requested songs.) He truly enjoys singing for them and never considered helping out as a 'chore' because he fell in love with the tranquility of the place. After all, it was opposite to where he and his mother fled from. He met Olivia when he auditioned for MADAME's as a jazz pianist. Alexei was hired on the spot because the manager, Nikolai, was sleepy and there were only two people who responded the ad. His favorite is Bob Crosby's "Dear Hearts and Gentle People." |
